Short yet simple

SO here we are. In RIGA:) This post will be quite short since I dont have much time or energy to write anything more. We have been traveling for 16 hours (thanks to our good old Mrs. Garmin) and ended up in Vilnius (which I probably still cant spell right). There we meet our good host "the one and definetly the only best one" Asta or as some call her Asta Maniana:). After few short sightseeing of the "Kathedra" we went to have our first few Lithuanian beers. The beers capt comming and comming and there was not much for us to do than to drink them all. Well I wont get into details, but after roughly 25 beers there wasnt any sign of exsation. Since we hadto much energy we continued at Astas apartment. And thats about it of the part I can tell you:) (just for the record, its not all we did and trust me some of you dont want to know the hole story). When we wake up early in the morning we went to pick up the rest of the Slovenian "gang" at Kaunas. The rest will have to wait till next time, enjoy.

The begining;)

Tomorrow we're off. Off to find adventure and parties;) We're going to start our trip at 17.00 sharp and begin towards east part of EU. According to our master planning and research we should be in Kaunas on Thursday late afternoon, but who knows if any of us knows what will the road bring;) So for few weeks I won't be able to write posts, but as soon as I get back home I'll have enough material for one or two post, hopefully;) Zacetek

Slovenia Vs. Cuba

I've promised you an article on this topic and here we go. It was nice sunny day, birds singing, flowers blooming and cars driving. So on this lovely day me and my friend (his name I shall not reveal do to some unresolved issues) decided it's the perfect day, to brush up on our basketball skills. We've meet on a court not far, but not near Ljubljana's center (Lj. center=Zalog). We've started off with some random shooting and then it came to a point when we played 1:1. The score does is not important, but if you need to know i've won 3 games to 1;). When we were about to leave this perfect ambient of Šiška's court, two new player's joined us. But they we're not ordinary players, which you meet on the court every day, they we Cubans;) So after few exchanges of words the epic battle began. Cuba vs. Slovenia , 2 on 2, Siska court, no. of spectators: 5 (+1 if you count a baby who was sleeping in the trolley). The game started good for Slovenia, since their representatives made few easy baskets. Thou it could been seen that Cuba was not just going to give up that easy. At the score 4:0 for Slovenia, Cuba return it's in full glory, scoring 5 points. But Slovenia as always answered back with 2 nice 2-pointers made by self-proclaimed "sniper-shooter" Kure. All the spectators (who were like 3th player for Slovenia) including the baby (his support was overwhelming, since his unrepresented scream could be heard for miles and miles) where behind the Slovenian team all the time, but that didn't stop Cuba from changing the score to 10:8. Slovenian fought back ("self-proclaimed sniper" leading it's was) but it was all for wain. At the end the score had stopped and 21:18 for Cuba and Slovenian player's had to admit their defeat once again. Spectators were a little disappointed, but they've realized that the exhaustion and lack of tactical ideas couldn't match the sheer brilliance of Cuba's connection. The match ended with a friendly hand shake, with few Slovenian words exchanged and with a promise for a potential re-match. Slovenian player's lost, but who better to be been from then Baseball world champions - Cuba.;)

Baltic tour

The decision has finally come;) Slovenians are making a Baltic tour from 25.4 till 3.5. You want to know more, just continue reading..

8 Slovenians (4 former Erasmus from Copenhagen and 4 "new" ones) are embarking on a journey that will take them from their small country throe Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia all the well to Finland, where the journey will officially end. Althou we could not made a mutural agreement about the transportation it has been agreed, that we'll all first meet in Kaunas (Lithuania) on April 27. The path will then lead us to Vilnius where we meet up with good friend Asta, who will hopefully show us all the beauties of Lithuania it this short period of time we have. After the "introduction" to Baltic style of life we'll travel to Riga, where we meet our second friend, jup u've guessed it - Melly;) She will then take us to Tallinn and well more is still unknown or not for public eyes yet;) After Tallinn we'll go to Helsinki, and there we'll have "meetings" too. Asco, Johhanna, Mait, Heidy, Sebastian, Pika, Andraž are all on our list of people to see, when we're in Soumi country. After that we're leaving for home, 4 of us with plane connection to Venice and rest of us with car (some detours we'll probably occur;). So all-in all we're planning to make a 8-day trip, visiting 7 countries. I'll inform you of thing that happened on the way and back after the trip.
