I've been meaning to write this post for a long time, but until now there was no time or place to do it;) In December we decided to visit the capital of Serbia- Belgrade for a weekend. It wasn't a "normal" trip, because I had some meetings in South Serbia on the Friday morning so I came to Belgrade before the rest of the bunch. I would like to say the meeting were successful, but because of little car trouble (due to slippery-icy road my car got a closer look at the road fence) I hadn't had them. So when I was already settled in Belgrade the "Beli Vranec" aka. "White Horse" (nickname of Katja's car) rolled in front of Beogradska Arena. The infamous Miha, Katja, Tomaz and Bostjan aka. Peco came!. First I helped them settled in out temporary headquarters, then we went for a first walk around "New Belgrade" to find some traditional food called "čevapčiči". After the brunch all the involved parties came realized the it was just too much and too good, so the only logical solution was to have a coffee as well. During the time we made some detailed plan of what are we going to do this night. So the plan was made, the coffee had been drank therefore we headed back to "headquarters". There we started to realize the plan which obviously involved going to rafts on Sava river where all the fun parties happen. As true Slovenians we went there by foot (the ideas was that it doesn't look the far on the map) and by the time we came there we were all almost frozen, but happy because the we finally made it;) I don't remember the name of the raft we eventually ended up in, but the live music made it up for the long walk. How everybody came back home I honestly don't know! I'm not saying we were intoxicated (maybe by the nice voice of the singer, not by the alcohol!!), but for some reason we went hope somewhat separately. Me, Katja and Peco took a cab, which in nice terms "scr...." us up big time, but if you ask me it was all worth it (in MasterCard terms: - nice night: 15€, cab home: 10€, watching the cab driver opening the hood and blowing air into cables in order to start the car: priceless;) . And that is how the first day ended, ok maybe I forgot Mihas frantic and unsuccessful search for "burekđinica" in the middle of the night, but hey I can' tell you everything right.;) I'm kinda out of time now, so till next time enjoy and the Part II where u'll hear more about Belgrade and the surrounding will come don't worry;)
Here are some nice pictures to calm u down;)
